Philosophy
Saturnalia is a boutique wine label created by Jess Kate-Martinez, the tasting room manager at Portland Wine Company, where she also makes her wines. Jess brought her label to life with a launch party on February 15, 2025, celebrating her debut 2022 vintage. With a rich background in the wine and hospitality world — including owning a wine shop in Dallas, working in numerous restaurants, and even running her own restaurant before relocating to Portland in 2018 — Jess has been part of the Portland Wine Co. family since her arrival. Her current lineup showcases her range and palate: a vibrant Gamay Noir and a Sparkling Blanc de Noir Pét-Nat made from Grenache, both reflecting her passion for expressive, food-friendly wines.
