Philosophy

Flipturn celebrates the unexpected flips and turns in life. After completing WSET Level 3 and working as a Harvest volunteer in 2019, Flipturn owner, Meg Rulli, took a giant leap of faith in 2020 — having no prior experience in winemaking — and purchased 1 ton of Syrah fruit from Yakima Valley. Through learning by doing and the mentorship of talented Oregon winemakers, Meg produced 50 cases of her inaugural vintage, which sold out in 6 months.

Meg sources grapes from vineyards that put a lot of thought and love into their land and works with varietals she has fallen in love with during her travels.
Practicing minimal intervention techniques, Meg is learning (and fine-tuning) her craft every day.
